Auto Moving - Preparing Your
Car for Moving
There are many ways
for auto moving. Do not worry about the time that it will
take to inspect your car, as the benefits will be worth the
time spent.
There are few tips that may save your
time and help you to inspect your car thoroughly before
moving it. These are necessary, as auto moving may cause
damage to your car seriously.
Tips to
Inspect your Car Before Moving:
The first part to inspect is the body of
your car, as it will display the condition of your car.
Inspect your car and make a note of every damage or
impression on the body of your car. You may use a digital
camera that has date and time feature, while recording or
capturing. It is advisable to take pictures from every angle
so that at the time of delivery you may show these pictures
to your auto moving company.
The second most important task is to
empty all the removable accessories such as radio system, CD
players, mobile chargers, speakers and car phones. Auto
moving company may not take any responsibility for lost or
damage of these items. In addition, insurance firm may not
cover these items in a moving insurance policy.
Make sure that your car’s battery is not
in the condition of expiring, as this may create a problem
at the time of delivery. Make sure that there is no leakage
in your car’s fuel system. Fill up all the fluids such as
engine oil and water in carburetor to check for leakages. It
is advisable to do this procedure before few days of moving.
Do not fill gas in your car’s tanker. It is advisable to
fill only ¼ tank of fuel. Completely filled tank may
increase the weight of your car and auto moving company may
charge extra fees for extra weight.
At the time of loading, push the antenna
in, fold all the mirrors and turn off the appliances such as
alarm system. Remove car covers, grill covers and spare
tires to make your car light. Climate may affect your car’s
performance, while moving. Therefore, make sure that your
car has sufficient engine coolants and transmission oils.
Non-working vehicle may force you to pay extra charges to
transport. |
